President Trump on Wednesday afternoon will give remarks on his economic agenda as part of the American Business Forum in Miami.
Recent polling has shown the president hitting his lowest approval rating on the economy in recent weeks amid dismal jobs numbers, uncertainty around his tariff agenda and a record-long government shutdown. The Federal Reserve also cut interest rates last month for the second time since Trump returned to the Oval Office.
The event comes as the Supreme Court weighs the president’s import taxes and just hours after Trump spoke to Senate Republicans from the White House as the lapse in funding persists.
His remarks are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EST.
