Live updates: Dallas ICE shooting leaves 1 dead; FBI calls it ‘act of targeted violence’ from the Hill

One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office on Wednesday.

No law enforcement officers were injured or killed in the shooting, city and federal officials said at a press conference.

The incident is being investigated as “an act of targeted violence,” and officials said anti-ICE messages were found in evidence near the suspected shooter, who is dead.

Law enforcement officials did not identify the shooter nor any victims at its Wednesday press conference. 

Last night, in Arizona, a win by Adelita Grijalva in the race for her late father’s congressional seat keeps it in Democratic hands and narrowed House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) margin.

Following his Tuesday speech at the United Nations General Assembly, President Trump declared that Ukraine could regain land lost to Russia, suggesting that Moscow was actually a “paper tiger.” The shift in perspective surprised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy and drew ire from Russia.

Trump, meanwhile, ripped Jimmy Kimmel’s return to late night. The comedian pushed back on the president’s call for his removal and reiterated the need for freedom of speech.

The president has no public events on his Wednesday schedule. This evening, he’s slated to host his second dinner for the exclusive Rose Garden Club in his newly renovated White House space.
