Whether it’s due to ‘roid rage or grief over the death of their dad, Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa’s estranged half-brothers inflict some serious damage in trailer for Prime Video’s The Wrecking Crew.
As the Hawaii-set action-comedy’s synopsis points out, the pair are “forced to reunite after their father’s mysterious death”—supposedly a hit-and-run. “As they set out to uncover the truth, buried secrets resurface and loyalties are tested, unveiling a conspiracy that can tear their family apart.”
The trailer reveals that the men who are after them are the Yakuza, several of whom meet a brutal demise at the hands of a shirtless, beer-drinking Momoa. Between a car crash, multiple explosions, and a sniper-worthy Desert Eagle shot that sends a pursuing helicopter crashing down, the movie is poised to deliver some entertaining chase sequences and firefights at the very least, and perhaps even some affable chemistry between its two sizable co-stars.
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle) and also starring Claes Bang, Jacob Batalon, Stephen Root, and Morena Baccarin, The Wrecking Crew arrives on Prime Video January 28. Watch the trailer below:
