Along with the Aspark Owl, the Rimac Nevera R represents the pinnacle of electric automotive performance available in the U.S. The latest evolution of the one-time world’s fastest electric car was only recently usurped by China’s 308.4-mph Yangwang U9 Xtreme, which isn’t currently sold outside of Asia and the Middle East. The Nevera R remains a marvel of engineering for speed’s sake that instantaneously cranks out 2,107 horsepower to hit 60 mph in just 1.66 seconds, 124 mph in 4.38 seconds, and a limited top speed of 268 mph.

Now, 10 buyers are getting the chance to modify the world-beating EV with Rolls-Royce-worthy personalization courtesy of a new Founder’s Edition. The ultra-limited 10-car run was conceived to allow customers to “explore the full breadth of their creativity with bespoke hand-stitched interiors, hand-painted adornments, or expertly crafted paint liveries.” For example, Rimac reports that they’ve already clad a cabin entirely in purple and “meticulously replicated” an indigo blue to match the color of a vehicle in another client’s collection.

In addition to whatever elements are dreamt up by the buyer, the Founder’s Edition is elevated beyond Nevera R’s standard spec, starting with a dark two-tone split that visually lowers the car and accentuates its aggressively low stance. “Instead of creating some shouty livery, we use the natural geometry of the car as the color division to emphasize what we’re trying to achieve here,” said Rimac designer Yutong Wu.

Running along the roof is an ultra-thin central stripe measuring just two millimeters at its thinnest part—a closer look at this detail reveals Rimac’s signature Croatian necktie-inspired cravat motif and subtle circuit board graphics. Inside, door panels feature bespoke embroidery marking three crucial dates in Rimac’s history: the garage era, during which the brand’s young founder, Mate Rimac, converted a blown BMW E30 into a world record-setting EV; the marque’s inaugural car, the Concept_One; and the Nevera’s record-breaking period. An asymmetrical seat layout pays homage to Mate’s own Nevera configuration.

Speaking of, each of the 10 owners will have their Nevera R Founder’s Edition hand-delivered by the pioneering automotive engineer himself, after which driver training led by Rimac’s professional testing team will ensue. While an assuredly exorbitant price wasn’t revealed—the standard Nevera R starts at around $2.5 million—all allocations were snapped up within a week of the car’s private reveal earlier this year.
