What are the latest trends in camping?
Based on our latest Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, we’re seeing that the sector is now stabilizing after a huge surge in new campers. Value for money is a big deal for everyone right now, so we’re delighted that 72% of campers see camping as a cost-effective travel option. One of the biggest trends we’ve noticed is that while RVing remains extremely popular, there’s growing interest in glamping and cabin stays, which are almost twice as popular as they were in 2019, particularly with Gen Z. There’s also an upsurge in awareness of how camping can boost wellness, with 42% of campers motivated by a desire to improve their mental health. Water-based relaxation and stargazing are popular ways to mindfully connect with nature and, of course, are perfect for campers!
