This DOXA Limited Edition GMT Watch Is Inspired By Great White Sharks … from Maxim Maxim Staff

(DOXA)

Topper Jewelers is going deep with its latest timepiece collaboration with DOXA, unveiling the SUB 250T GMT “Great White” Topper Edition, a 100-piece limited run that continues the watchmaker’s shark-inspired series. The release follows the swift sellout of the 2024 Great White edition and once again draws inspiration from the legendary Great White Sharks that inhabit Northern California’s Gulf of the Farallones.

Located roughly 30 miles west of San Francisco, the remote and rugged Farallon Islands—nicknamed the “Devil’s Teeth”—serve as a key reference point for the timepiece. The latest model features a custom caseback engraving depicting the San Francisco Bay Area in relation to the shark-infested Gulf of the Farallones.

The 40mm SUB 250T GMT platform, introduced at Geneva Watch Week 2025, is designed for multi-timezone tracking and adventure-oriented use. Powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement, the watch displays two time zones simultaneously and has a 50-hour power reserve. True to the 2024 Great White aesthetic, the new edition features a no-date dial layout to enhance nighttime visibility.

The fully luminous Super-LumiNova BGW9 dial glows bright blue in low light, complemented by blue lacquered hands and hour markers. DOXA’s signature unidirectional rotating bezel returns with deep sawtooth edges and dual engravings for elapsed dive time and no-decompression limits based on U.S. Navy dive tables. The engravings are finished in blue lacquer, matching the watch’s ocean-inspired hue.

The watch is built with a brushed 316L stainless-steel case, AR-coated flat sapphire crystal, and 250 meters of water resistance. It is supplied with DOXA’s classic beads-of-rice bracelet with wetsuit extension and an additional navy blue FKM rubber strap in a special edition box set.

As with previous collabs, Topper Jewelers will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Greater Farallones Association, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting marine life and restoring coastal habitats within the 3,295-square-mile Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. The sanctuary is one of the nation’s most biodiverse marine environments, supporting numerous endangered species.

Only 100 individually numbered pieces of the DOXA SUB 250T GMT “Great White” Topper Edition will be produced, priced at $2,990 each.
