Over 1M ovens sold at Costco, Walmart recalled after 95 injury reports from the Hill Alaina Papazian

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Sunbeam Products Inc. has issued a recall of over 1 million Oster French Door Countertop Ovens due to a potential burn hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday.

The affected ovens have a “spring-loaded bilateral” glass door. Sunbeam has received 95 reports of the doors closing unexpectedly, resulting in burns to users, including two with second-degree burns.

According to the release, ovens with model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF, and TSSTTVFDDAF are involved in the recall.

The ovens, priced between $140 and $250, were sold nationwide from August 2015 to July 2025 at Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco and Walmart stores, as well as on Amazon.com and Overstock.com.

The CPSC said consumers should stop using the affected ovens and contact Sunbeam for a free repair kit, which includes a clip-on device designed to help keep the doors in the open position.
