When I started C&L, I wasn’t thinking about any long-term goal. I was hurt, had to quit a Hall of Fame rock and roll band, but wanted to voice my opinion about the horrible Iraq war that Bush ushered in without much media push back, except for Phil Donahue and Bill Moyers.
Advertising dollars have dwindled since President Biden took office, fueled by the rise and reach of Zuckerberg, Musk, Bezos, and others. This has allowed right-wing influencers like Ben Shapiro to thrive while jailing progressive and honest opinions like C&L’s.
We really, really need your help because, despite all the annoying ads, revenues are not keeping up with the times. I’m sure you’ve seen many websites say the same thing.
It takes a lot of work from many people to keep us churning out as much material as we do, but just as important are your contributions. Internet advertising has changed so much over the years, and with the Google ads that political consultants prefer, we can’t survive without your help.
