You might not need reminding that change is in the air at Versace. The Italian fashion label (founded by the late Gianni Versace in 1978) has undergone major changes (to say the very least) over recent months. First, the rumors of Donatella Versace exiting as creative director were confirmed, with Dario Vitale swiftly announced as the iconic designer’s successor. Weeks later, the announcement dropped that Prada Group had bought Versace for a staggering $3.6 billion. The next change is a switch-up in campaign photographers. Out are the photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott (for now, at least), in favor of Zoë Ghertner, who was ultimately called upon to lens Versace’s latest. The Dutch beauty that is Lara Stone becomes the face of Versace Eyewear for the Spring 2025 season, rocking an array of Versace shades (including the Versace Signature Cat-Eye sunglasses).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Seriously?” immediately asked vogue22.

“How is this supposed to sell anything?” chimed in Avonlea.

“Lara Stone looks like a toxic executive dealing with some heavy personality disorder. The whole thing feels very repulsive,” remarked Royal-Galliano upon checking out the campaign.

“Ouch, this is BAD,” 90sfan confessed.

zacatecas570 described the end result as “tragic” but do you agree?
